In the original books, each entry featured a delightful four-color illustration and brief description in a standard format from page to page. While retaining the original components, the new editions have been fully redesigned with a colorful, retro feel, incorporating additional short fun facts on each breed’s heritage and unique features, quotes by well-known people on the breed, famous dogs and famous owners of the breed, and/or excerpts from literature. The new editions will include the original art as well as present a collage of four to five new images for each breed that have been culled from vintage graphics, vintage playing cards, postcards, illustrations, fine art and photography. Julie Muszynski is fashion stylist whose clients have included Bergdorf Goodman, Martha Stewart Living, Calvin Klein, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Macy’s. She is the author of HENLEY (Published in 2005 by Glitterati Books; distributed by PowerHouse Books), an illustrated, interactive book about a well-heeled Japanese Chin. She lives in New York City.
